With rental of The Barn there may be a group who has rented the grounds but they would be gone by noon (April - October). You would have access to the Event Barn to start decorating or to receive deliveries starting at 10 am or the time indicated in your contract.
- Inside the Barn we can accommodate up to 200 guests for a sit down dinner and up to 350 guests for an open house reception. There are 80 parking stalls available on the property.

Yes you can hire your own caterer. We have a preferred vender list that we highly recommend, but you can do it yourself or hire your own caterer. All food must be already cooked and as our kitchen is equipped for preparation only. No ovens, stoves, or microwaves are provided.
you can "Reserve" a specific date by paying a $500 deposit. This deposit is fully refundable for 7 days. You can "Book" your date anytime during the 7 day period and the deposit will be applied. If you choose to not book your event with us, simply contact us within 7 days and your deposit will be refunded in full. You will forfeit the deposit if you fail to contact us within 7 days and your date will no longer be reserved.
90 or more days prior to the event you can change your date to another available date at no cost. 60-90 days prior to the event you can change your date to another available date but will be charged 25% of your original venue rental fee. Any changes to the booking date in the final 60 days is considered a cancellation. If this happens, 9 Acres Event Barn will attempt to re-book the date. If the date does get re-booked, a partial refund may be given to Rentee, but A REFUND IS NOT GUARANTEED!
Celebrations with alcohol require a $1000 privilege fee. This fee goes towards security that will be provided by 9 Acres Event Barn. No hard drinks or mixed alcoholic drinks will be allowed. Beer and wine can be served. Guests must hire the Bartending company found on the 9 Acres Event Barn preferred vender list. Together, guests and the Bartending company will work out all the details including quantities, brands, and pricing for the event. No other Bartenders will be allowed to serve at the event.
Guests can rent the 9 Acres Event Barn from 10 am until 10 pm. Events can go until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays for an additional fee. The Barn will be closed on Sundays.
The time of your rental will be indicated in your contract as the "Allotted Time Agreement" (typically 10am). Guests desiring an earlier start time can make arrangements with the 9 Acres Staff. They will work with you. They want you to have plenty of time to set up. Venders will be required to do their work within this same time period.
9 Acres at Finch Family Farms is open for tours by appointment only . This is necessary to avoid interrupting other events and to ensure that guests can have ample time and privacy to tour the venue and to discuss their event with the Staff.
Yes. If guests want to rent the pavilion and the grounds surrounding the 9 Acres Event Barn they can do so. Pony Parties, baptism celebrations and family reunions are perfect for this type of rental. These would typically be booked as morning rentals and would be finished by noon.
Unfortunately, 9 Acres has zero control over the weather (if we did you bet the weather on your day would be perfect). Some of the outside amenities that involve animals may need to be cancelled. If so, that portion of your overall payment will be refunded. The 9 Acres Event Barn Staff will make the decision to cancel those activities that may be dangerous to animals or guests. Fortunately, the Barn itself is spacious and can accommodate most events seamlessly.
Deposit is due upon signing the agreement and will guarantee your date. The remainder will be due 90 days prior to your event date.
The final planning needs to be done at least three weeks before your event so all details can be finalized in plenty of time and staff can be scheduled. If you are out of state we would love to discuss your plans over the phone.
To ensure the safety of our guests we do not allow sparklers. We do not allow fireworks of any kind. Wood barn, animals, possibly alcohol. . .it just makes sense.
You are responsible to clean up anything you have brought onto the 9 Acres property (flowers, cake, decorations, etc.). You also need to complete all the tasks on the "Guest Cleanup Form". Guests and vendors have 1 hour following their event to get these tasks done.
Yes. Pictures are by appointment only. If you have an event scheduled with us there is no cost to do pictures. If you do not have an event scheduled with us the cost is $100 per hour.
