Frequently Asked Questions
The time in which you will have access to Venue is 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. The rental period for the grounds are from Noon until 10:00 PM. Rental period for the grounds may start earlier upon availability. Extended ending time is available on Friday and Saturday at a cost of $500 for one additional hour.
Inside the Barn we can accommodate up to 175 guests for a sit down dinner and up to 300 guests for an open house reception.
We can accommodate up to 175 guests for an indoor ceremony.
Our 4 outdoor ceremony locations (the bridge, the gazebo, the arbor or the pavilion) can accommodate seating for 200
Renter is required to use a 9 Acres Event Barn preferred caterer for all cooked food and all sit-down meals.
9 Acres Event Barn allows Renters to provide their own baked goods or snacks for a reception (upon approval).
Cooking is not allowed at 9 Acres Event Barn. The 9 Acres Event Barn kitchen is only equipped to be used for preparing food, not for cooking. Renter and or their caterer is responsible for all cleanup associated with food or snacks.
you can "Reserve" a specific date for 7 days by paying a $500 deposit. This deposit is fully refundable for 7 days. You can "Book" your date anytime during the 7 day period and the deposit will be applied. If you choose to not book your event with us, simply contact us in writing within 7 days and your deposit will be refunded in full. You will forfeit the deposit if you fail to contact us in writing within 7 days and your date will no longer be reserved.
A $2,500 down payment is required to book a date.
90 or more days prior to the event you can change your date to another available date at no cost. 60-90 days prior to the event you can change your date to another available date but will be charged 25% of your original venue rental fee. Any changes to the booking date in the final 60 days is considered a cancellation. If this happens, 9 Acres Event Barn will attempt to re-book the date. If the date does get re-booked, a partial refund may be given to Rentee, but A REFUND IS NOT GUARANTEED!
If your caterer does not include a bartending service, you will be required to hire the Bar Tending Service Company found on the 9 Acres Preferred Vendor List on our Website. No other bar tending services will be allowed to work on the 9 Acres Event Barn property. Together, guests and the Bar tending company will work out all the details including quantities, brands, and pricing for the event.
A non-refundable privilege fee of $500 shall be paid by the Renter to 9 Acres Event Barn to cover extra expenses and insurance. This privilege fee is due no later than sixty (60) days prior to the event.
Security Personal
Renter will cover the cost for for security personnel that is required at any event with alcohol. The cost of security personal is $100/hr per security personal. Events with 0-149 guest require one security personal. 150-224 guest require two security personal and 225-300 guest require thee security personal.
9 Acres Event Barn will hire the security personal and invoice Renter. This fee is due no later than sixty (60) days prior to the event

9 Acres at Finch Family Farms is open for tours by appointment only . This is necessary to avoid interrupting other events and to ensure that guests can have ample time and privacy to tour the venue and to discuss their event with the Staff.
Yes. If guests want to rent the pavilion and the grounds surrounding the 9 Acres Event Barn they can do so. Pony Parties, baptism celebrations and family reunions are perfect for this type of rental. These would typically be booked as morning rentals and would be finished by noon.
Unfortunately, 9 Acres has zero control over the weather (if we did you bet the weather on your day would be perfect). Some of the outside amenities that involve animals may need to be cancelled. If so, that portion of your overall payment will be refunded. The 9 Acres Event Barn Staff will make the decision to cancel those activities that may be dangerous to animals or guests. Fortunately, the Barn itself is spacious and can accommodate most events seamlessly.
Deposit is due upon signing the agreement and will guarantee your date. The remainder will be due 60 days prior to your event date.
Renter will attend two planning meetings by Zoom or in person with a 9 Acres Event Barn Staff member. The first meeting will be scheduled soon after the venue is booked and the contract is signed to finalize payments if needed, discuss timeline of events, amenity packages, guest count and floor plan. The second meeting will be about 30 days prior to the event to confirm floor plan and headcount, and to ask any remaining questions or finalize any details.
Fireworks are not permitted on 9 Acres Event Barn premises with the exception of sparklers. Sparklers are permitted outside and must be lit a MINIMUM of ten (10) feet away from the barn and may not be lit inside the barn under any circumstance.
You are responsible to clean up anything you have brought onto the 9 Acres property (flowers, cake, decorations, etc.).
You also need to complete all the tasks on the "Guest Cleanup Form". Guests and vendors have 1 hour following their event to get these tasks done.
Yes. Photo shoots are by appointment only.

Photo shoot indoor/outdoor space
(non wedding day) $150/hour
A payment can be made online with a bank transfer, credit card. For credit card payments a 3% service fee will be added. There is no fee for a bank transfer or cash. As soon we receive payment, we can save your date. Cash payment is also accepted.
